SINGING LESSONS MIDLANDS
I joined ASA having no theatre or singing experience back in 2005. In my early days as a member, I was impressed by how supportive the teachers and students were, no matter where you were on your learning curve. There is such a ‘can do’ attitude within the faculty and that is disseminated down to the students and everyone wants to achieve their very best.
I am now just about to take my grade 6 Music Theatre exam and I never in a million years thought I could achieve what I have so far at my age and level of experience. Am I the best singer/performer?... no, but what I am doing is learning, improving and achieving everything I set out to do.
I would highly recommend ASA whatever your end goals are!
Suzanne Oldham - Student
I've been having 1 to 1 singing lessons with ASA for 7 years now. I had always enjoyed singing but had no idea about the technical aspects. I'm now able to comfortably sing songs I never thought it possible for me to sing thanks to the wonderful teachers and their knowledge expertise, patience and encouragement. Lessons are always so much fun!
We are also encouraged to take part in shows that ASA specifically organise for the students to showcase their talent which is just such a fantastic opportunity to allow your confidence to grow. I really do feel part of a wonderful family and thoroughly enjoy being a part of something so special.

I am nervous, I've never sang before!
OK, so TRUST US when we say, singing is the most joyous hobby you could have. We work with every type of person and have seen hundreds of students walk trhough our doors. All of our teachers are above and beyond friendly and supportive, and we will put you at ease right away. Just come along and let's get singing!
I am a parent, can I sit in on my childs lessons?
We welcome you to sit in on your childs first lesson to see how we work, that your child is happy and they enjoy the session. We do kindly ask after this that parents wait in our waiting room (a lot of parents use the time to nip into Aldi next door). Over our years of teaching, we find that students do work a lot better on their own, are more vocal and open with teachers and lose their inhibitians. Progress is much faster. We keep all emergency contact details close to hand and will contact you if there was the need to. We do of course, love to catch up with parents before and after lessons, through our My Music Staff portal and at shows, concerts and events.
