WELCOME
Hi, and welcome to the ASA family!
With an academy that is founded on nurturing and encouraging students to achieve their dreams, students are trained by fully qualified teachers using the most up-to-date teaching tools, methodology and performance techniques. All teachers hold a wealth of qualifications including Diplomas through the London College of Music, Grade 8 in their subject of specification, or BA (Hons)/MA degree in a performance related subject. All teachers are DBS checked, and follow our procedures and policies to the highest standards. Whether you wish to perform for profit or pleasure, are 8 years or 80 years, ASA is the place for you to nurture your craft and follow your dreams!
YOUR FIRST LESSON
Firstly, there is nothing to be nervous about. The academy has seen and worked with every type of performer out there, as well as every age and ability. For SINGING LESSONS, please have two songs in mind to work on in your first lesson. These songs can be from any genre (Pop, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Classical etc) and you do no need to know the songs from memory. We will provide lyrics, sheet music and accompaniment. For Piano, Acting/Drama lessons, or Drama Club, you do not need to bring anything, just some water and a smile!
Due to Covid-19, space restrictions and the free learning of students, parents or friends are respectfully not permitted to sit in on lessons at this time. Please wait outside the front door until your teacher collects you. Parents are welcome to wait in the waiting room, but the wearing of a face covering is required within the building. Alternatively, please come back to the front door to collect your child at the end of the lesson. Masks are not required for students of any age.
We thank you for your understanding on this matter.

Thank you for joining The Alana Shirley Academy of Singing.
In order for us to process your enrolment, we would be very grateful if you could complete the following form in full. You will receive an automated reminder email 24 hours prior to each lesson, as well as a monthly invoice.
You will also receive log in details to our student portal, where you can check your lesson times, account status and notes from lessons.
